A section of Colonial Park was beautified recently by members of Junior Girl Scout Troop 60681.

The project consisted of planting more than 1,000 daffodil bulbs on the banks of the Powder Mill Pond.

The scouts were guided by the Somerset County Park Commission’s horticulture department and was undertaken in collaboration with the Millstone Valley Preservation Coalition, according to a release about the event.

“I’m sure this is something that the park patrons and the girls who participated in the project will enjoy for years to come,” Mark Inzano, the county’s horticulture supervisor, said in the release.
