Inspire Dance Studio Hosts Free Community Event

Reading Day at InSpira_EventFlyer MTJGDA township resident is kicking off the 15th anniversary of her business by hosting a free event for the community.

Inspire Performing Arts and Cultural Center, 987D Jersey Ave. in New Brunswick, is hosting its inaugural “Reading Day and Performing Arts Exposure” from 6:30-8 p.m. Aug 24.

“At this event, we are specifically highlighting our core values of education and community,” Inspira’s co-founder and artistic director, Kristine Smith, said in an email.

The event will feature special guest readers, free books and refreshments.

Inspira also works with township schools, Smith said.

“I am excited that we are going into our fifth year of a dance partnership with Franklin Middle School’s Dance Department,” Smith wrote. “InSpira has awarded over 40 scholarships to students.”

Smith said Inspira has also partnered with Franklin High School and has offered scholarships to students there.
