In Your Opinion: The Election Is Not Guaranteed To Democrats

By Andrew Dars, Somerset.

Good morning to all my Franklin Ward 3 Neighbors!! … Actually, this post really applies to all my Franklin Neighbors.

As we approach the November 2 general election, we’ll soon see scare tactics posts or mail from the Democratic party, who for the past 15 years held a monopoly of unlimited power over our municipal government and even worse your tax dollars.

These messages will be directed to all voters not of their party which include Independents, Republicans Libertarians, Green Party and so many others. These messages will imply, “the Democrats already have the numbers and will win so don’t waste your time. … or they may softly imply … since we have total control, we decide who gets all the perks and entitlements handed out by our Municipal boards i.e. cronyism abuse of power … How dare they!!!

While yes, it’s true the Democrats do have majority of voters over any ONE party alone … what they don’t tell you is in truth, the largest voting block of voters goes to non-party or independent residents!!! So, NO, when they say the election is locked up, that’s a lie!! They know if you go out to vote they will most likely lose as you make the difference.

The future of our town is in the hands of the independent voters and I’m grateful to them for the kind words and support they have provided over the past year. If elected, I promise I won’t fail you.

My name is Andrew Dars and I’m your Ward 3 candidate – I’m easily accessible and always accountable … November 2nd, please Its all up to you!!
