In Your Opinion: An Easy Way To Stand Up For The Health And Safety Of All In New Jersey

Submitted by the Franklin Township Task Force on Compressor Station 206.

There are only a few more days to let DEP know why they should reject permits for NESE with its Compressor Station 206 in Franklin Township and pipeline under Raritan Bay.

The DEP can stop it if they deny the permits again and do so “with prejudice”.  Go to the following to send your personal message to the DEP by copying and pasting key points and adding your own concerns.

The deadline for sending comments is Friday, August 23.

Please take a few minutes to protect the people in NJ from NESE –

  • Go to www.scrap-nese.org/sendcomments and click one of the 7 topics that relate to reasons why the DEP originally denied the last set of permits and should do so again.
  • Fill in your personal information.
  • Click the button START WRITING, and you will see points on the left that can be copied and pasted into your unique and personal letter that will be sent automatically to the DEP.  Erase the notations -add letter here- and -your name, etc.- and compose your letter and sign it.

Note:  Your message does not need to be long.  It just needs to be sent.

As Benjamin Franklin said, “An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.”

Many comments will make a difference and, after the hottest July on record, it’s time for the DEP to follow their regulations and deny the NESE Project’s permit applications since NESE threatens our health and safety.
