Photos and Video: Ghosts and Goblins Show Up for Annual Township Pumpkin Patch

Pumkin Patch 26More than 300 people – and ghouls – showed up Oct. 27 at the annual Franklin Pumpkin Patch next to the Community/Senior Center on DeMott Lane.

Sponsored by the township Department of Recreation, the day featured games, crafts, pumpkin decorating and a Halloween costume parade and contest.

Staff from the recreation department was helped by about 40 volunteers from the Franklin Township Youth Council and the Franklin High School Ultimate Warriors, said Saffie Kallon, program coordinator for the department.

“We had a great day, a steady trickle of people all day,” she said.

“The volunteers always do a great job,” said Bruce Medley, the youth initiative coordinator for the recreation department.

“They basically run this, we just manage it,” he said.
