Gail Governable, 63, passed away peacefully Sunday evening at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick.

Born in New Brunswick to the late William and Janet Governable, Ms. Governale was raised in the Somerset section of Franklin Township and also lived in Old Bridge, where she raised her children.

She was a talented crafter, enjoyed making homemade gifts and loved her cat Willow Grace.

She was pre-deceased by her parents, William and Janet Governable, and Grandmother, Tess Daddio.

She is survived by her loving and devoted companion of 20 years, Joseph Hester of Newark. She is also survived by Jill (daughter) and Ken Millman of Somerset and their three sons Kenny, Kevin, and Dylan; Janine Kroposky (daughter) of Dunellen and Jamie Kroposky (daughter) of Piscataway; her siblings Gary Governale and his wife Patricia of Greenbrook and Ginger Kowalchuk and her husband John of Bellefonte, PA, along with her nieces and nephews.

Friends and family may visit from 5-9 p.m. Aug. 5 at the Gleason Funeral Home, 1360 Hamilton Street, Somerset. A funeral mass will take place on Saturday at 9 a.m. at St. Matthias Church in Somerset.
