FTPD, Prosecutor’s Detectives Investigating Christmas Eve Shooting
Township police and county detectives are investigating the shooting of a 25-year-old North Brunswick man that may have occurred late on Dec. 24 near Stothoff Street.
Officials from an unnamed area hospital contacted police at about 12:17 a.m. Dec. 25 to report that they were treating a man with a gunshot wound. The man underwent surgery and is expected to recover, according to a press release from the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office.
Investigators have received limited cooperation in trying to determine exactly where the shooting occurred, if it was an isolated incident and if the man was the intended target, according to the press release.
