Franklin Township Food Bank Seeks Holiday Volunteers

Franklin-Township-Food-BanklogoThe Franklin Township Food Bank, 60 Millstone Rd., Somerset, is looking for volunteers for the holiday season.

Nancy LaCorte of the food bank said that people are needed “to help us direct traffic and help our clients to their cars with our limited number of shopping carts.”

The hours are 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays and 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturdays, she said.

The food bank is also in need of food donations. According to its Web site, current needs are turkeys, stuffing, canned vegetables and canned yams or sweet potatoes (no glass containers.)

Donations can be dropped off at the food bank between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to noon on Saturdays.
