Animals of all sizes, stripes and feathers were on hand over the Nov. 7 weekend during the first New Jersey Family Pet Expo at the garden State Expo Center on Atrium Drive.

In addition to vendors selling everything from pet treats to training classes, the expo features demonstrations and displays of common and exotic animals.

Dennis Garetano of Long Island, who produces the show with his wife and son, said the first year in the new venue shows promise.

“The quality of the people was very good, so that’s important to us and our vendors,” he said. “It was good.”
