FLEMINGTON – Ditschman/Flemington Ford, a member of the Flemington Car & Truck Country Family of Brands, recently presented a check for $3,940 to the Hunterdon Central Marching Band of Flemington in conjunction with the national Ford “Drive 4UR School” program.

The check was the result of a special event that took place at the Ford dealership, located at 215 Route 202, in September, during which customers test drove Ford vehicles, generating a $20 donation for every test drive. The donations were made to Ditschman/Flemington Ford’s school and program of choice, Hunterdon Central High School’s Marching Band.

“Once again we are delighted to participate and take part in raising money for our local community,” Steve Kalafer, chairman of Ditschman/Flemington Ford and the Flemington Car & Truck Country Family of Brands, said in a release about the donation. “What more deserving individuals than these young, hard-working and talented students who take part in the marching band right here in Flemington.”

According to David Mondragon, executive director of US sales for Ford Motor Company, the Ford “Drive 4Ur School” program was initiated to demonstrate how Ford vehicles not only go further on the road, but further in our local communities making a positive difference. Ford nationally has raised $35 million to date in the program.

“I’m a local guy myself,” Chris Messina, sales manager at Ditschman/Flemington Ford-Lincoln, who organized this program, said in the release. “I fully embrace the Ford Drive 4UR School Program and am happy to give back to our local community in any way possible. I’m happy that our local residents had an opportunity to really appreciate driving a Ford and at the same time help out our local high school.”

The Flemington Car & Truck Country Family of Brands has eight dealership locations and represents 16 manufacturer brands and have been in operation since 1976. For further information call 1-800-Flemington or visit Flemington.com.
