David Ferraro, 68, Former Township Resident

david ferraroDavid Paul Ferraro of Roanoke, VA, 68, passed away on August 8, 2016 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

David was born in New Brunswick, raised in Somerset, and graduated from Moravian College in Bethlehem, Pa. He worked as a financial and insurance sales representative for Mutual of Omaha for 40 years and continued his education by obtaining various industry-related licenses such as ChFC, CLU and RHU. David so enjoyed helping clients prepare for their financial future that he gave no thought to retirement.

David was predeceased by his father, Paul Ferraro. He is survived and will be dearly missed by his mother, Ada Ferraro; his long-time partner, Marian Nagy; his sister, Nancy Ferraro; his brother-in-law, William Duffy; his aunt and godmother Melba Battin; his aunt, Rena Marter; and his cousins Brian Marter, Scott Marter, Wayne Marter, and James Battin, as well as a host of other family members and friends.

Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. at Gleason Funeral Home in Somerset. Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary of Mount Virgin Church in New Brunswick at noon, and entombment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Piscataway.
