Update: Children’s Garden Workshop Set For Colonial Park Cancelled

Update: The program has been cancelled. No alternate dates were provided.

The Somerset County Park Commission’s Colonial Park Gardens staff will present “Flower Buds Let’s Get Growing,” a Children’s Garden Workshop from 10 a.m. to noon May 13 on Colonial Drive across from Parking Lot C.

The event’s rain date is May 20.

Children aged 5 to 8 will create a butterfly, hummingbird, and goldfinch friendly garden to be enjoyed by all visitors throughout the growing season. Participants will sow seeds, plant annuals and perennials and will take home seed packets to start a home garden.

Fee is $15 per child. Limit 10 children, all of whom must be accompanied by an adult. All supplies will be provided.
