Anytime Fitness Inks Lease For Second Township Location

Daniella Harris

Daniella Harris, franchisee of Anytime Fitness on Hamilton Street, has announced she will open a second location next year at the Crossroads at Somerset on Elizabeth Avenue.

Anytime Fitness has signed a lease for a second, state-of-the-art location in the Crossroads at Somerset shopping center off Elizabeth Avenue.

The 5,500-square-foot gym will join the chain’s first township location at 920 Hamilton Street.

Daniella Harris, franchisee for both locations, said in a Dec. 8 press release that she has signed a lease for the space, and expects construction to begin early in 2016.

The club’s grand opening is targeted for the spring of 2016, the release said.

“What differentiates Anytime Fitness from other clubs is our focus on helping members get the results that they’re seeking,” Harris said in the release. “Our gym will be small enough that we can provide personalized attention for all of our members. Whether weight-loss is your goal, or increased strength or improved balance and flexibility – or a combination – we’re committed to helping you achieve those goals.”

The new Anytime location will offer equipment and amenities including:

  • Circuit, resistance and functional training equipment
  • Free weights
  • Cardio equipment, including treadmills, elliptical machines, and stationary bikes
  • Small group training including the popular Synergy Team Training programs also offered at their current Franklin Township location
  • Slightly larger live group classes like the very popular Zumba and Spin
  • Private bathrooms, changing rooms and showers

More detailed membership information will become available in early January, 2016, according to the release.

Anytime will join other name brands such as Petsmart, Panera Bread, Hand & Stone and several other local, regional and national retailers in the center.

On average, each Anytime Fitness center has about 800 members, according to the release. The gyms are staffed about 8 to 10 hours each day, but members can access the gym whenever they like, with the use of a computerized key-fob system.

“We make it easy for our members to exercise whenever and however they like,” Harris said in the release. “We’ll have nationally certified personal trainers available to help you learn how to use all of the equipment and to develop your personalized workout plan, if you like. We’ll also have a state-ofthe-art projection system that allows members to choose from dozens of virtual classes, including the Les Mills Virtual series, whenever it’s most convenient for them.”

Membership at any one Anytime Fitness location grants access to any one of 3,000 clubs worldwide, according to the release.
