Cory Pelzer of Somerset was one of 112 graduates in the Pennington School’s 177th graduating class on June 2.

Wilkes University Provost Dr. Anne Skleder announced the Dean’s List for the spring 2018 semester. To be named to the Dean’s List, Dylan O’Connor of Somerset obtained a minimum 3.5 grade point average and carried at least 12 credits.

Jaime Bowman of Somerset graduated Cum Laude from the University of New Hampshire in May 2018, earning a BS degree in Communication Sci & Disorders. Students who received the honor Summa Cum Laude graduated with a GPA of 3.85-4.0: Students who received the honor of Magna Cum Laude graduated with a GPA of 3.65-3.84; and students who received the honor of Cum Laude graduated with a GPA of 3.50-3.64.

Madison Mento of Franklin Park excelled during the Spring 2018 semester, achieving a GPA of at least 3.5 to earn a spot on the Hofstra University Dean’s List.

Muhlenberg College held its 170th baccalaureate and commencement ceremonies on May 17 and18. A total of 519 degrees were awarded to 511 students, and 267 students in the Class of 2018 graduated with honors and distinctions. Local students who graduated were Melissa Butera of Franklin Park, Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Media & Communication and a minor in Studio Art and Owen McLeod of Somerset, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and a minor in Public Health.
