Key people involved in the Class of 2016 graduation – the first one held at the current Franklin High School – were commended at the July 21 Board of Education meeting.
“We thought it was important to recognize a few key individuals who made the graduation at Franklin High School possible,” said board president Ed Potosnak. “It was a fabulous graduation, befitting of the graduates.”
The graduation”was a community event in the township supported by neighbors and friends” which “happened because people were dedicated” to making it a success, he said.
Potosnak noted that several of the people being honored would be representing the many other people with whom they worked.
Those honored were:
- John Hauss, the township Director of Fire Prevention
- Officer Keith Herman of the FTPD
- Det. Brian Regan of the FTPD
- Thomas DiGianci, the FHS interim principal
- Ammon Barksdale, the FHS vice principal
- George Roberts, head of security at FHS
- Richard Cornelius, FHS head custodian
