The Franklin High School varsity tennis team swept all its matches April 30, defeating North Plainfield 5-0.
In singles play, Paul Hellstern defeated Hammad Ahmad 6-0 and 6-1; Tom Thigpen defeated Jeiner Betancourt, 6-3 and 6-1; John Gruiguis defeated Pateek Singh, 6-3 and 6-4.
In doubles, C. Gillooly and C. Jones defeated G. Dombrowski and W. Rivers, 7-5 and 7-5 and A. Milgram and J. Torres defeated G. Caraballo and J. Garcia 6-4 and 6-3.
