An 88,0000-square-foot addition to the Ferrero USA building on Cottontail Lane was approved June 20 by the Planning Board.
The addition, which will be constructed over an existing parking lot, will be mainly used for warehousing, the board was told.
The loss of parking spaces will not be a problem, the board was told, because the property still has more than enough as required by township zoning regulations.
Robert Barranger, the project’s architect, said the new addition will look the same as the existing 264,000-square-foot building.
The addition will be built in two phases, Ferrero’s attorney, Christopher Erd, told the board. The first floor will be done in Phase 1, while a mezzanine and an entrance vestibule will be built in Phase 2.
There will also be a fourth driveway added, which required a variance that was also approved by the board.
