The Franklin Township Pop Warner organization celebrated its annual “Blue and Gold” day at Middlebush Park Sept. 21. In addition to the regularly scheduled football contests, attendees were treated to games, face painting, and pep rallies. The township’s Pop Warner program serves more than 300 children, making it the largest such program in Central New Jersey.

Thomas DiGanci, former principal at Watching Hills Regional High School, was named Franklin High School’s interim principal at the July 31 Board of Education meeting. DiGanci is expected to start in his new position on Aug. 11, according to a release from the district. His appointment runs through June 30, 2015.
