Bridgewater, NJ – The Bridgeport Bluefish (24-44, 46-92) defeated the Somerset Patriots (37-31, 84-54) 2-0 Friday evening from TD Bank Ballpark.
In the top of the fourth inning designated hitter Joe Mather slugged a two run home run (2) to give Bridgeport a 2-0 advantage.
Tomo Ohka (7-12) threw a complete game shutout as he scattered six hits. Roy Merritt (1-1) sustained the loss hurling 5.2 innings while giving up two runs.
