During the Spring 2014 season, the Franklin Township SC Athletics MNJYSA BoysU12 team was undefeated, in Flight 1, with 8 wins and 2 draws, and scored a total of 49 goals and allowed only 15 against.

Through the recent addition of Player Technique Academy (PTA), the Athletics were able to win the MAPS Summer Sizzle in Summer of 2013, and have now taken 1st Place in their Flight 1 Division in the Spring. Most of the games were won with 6 goal margins, which is the limit in the MNJYSA league. Teams are penalized home games the following season in MNJYSA if the goal margins are more than six.

The team plays a Barcelona style of soccer, which focusses on possesion soccer, trapping and passing ,which is in contrast to most club teams that play English style long ball.

The team has grown leaps and bounds with Player Technique Academy, based out of South Plainfield. The 11- and 12-year-old boys on the team train three times per week and play in both Flight 1 MNJYSA and in the MAPS league. PTA  teaches players technique and training hard today so they can make it look easy. The team is currently ranked No. 78 in New Jersey, https://home.gotsoccer.com/rankings/team.aspx?TeamID=682025 .

The team is looking forward to a competitive Summer League and will be traning all summer for the Fall 2014 Season.
