Somerset Patriots And NJEA To Honor Teachers And ESPs Of The Year

Bridgewater, NJ – The Somerset Patriots and NJEA will host special nights to recognize the Somerset, Union, Middlesex, and Hunterdon County schools’ Teachers and ESPs of the Year.

The Patriots have invited Teachers and ESPs of the Year from each school in the counties to attend a Teacher Appreciation Night at TD Bank Ballpark. The Patriots will recognize the teachers and ESPs on the field in a pre-game ceremony beginning at approximately 6:10 pm on each county’s respective night.

The first night is scheduled for Tuesday, May 14th when the Patriots will welcome Middlesex and Hunterdon County Schools’ Teachers and ESPs of the Year. The Middlesex County Education Association is partnering with the team for the event.

On Wednesday, May 15th, the Patriots will honor Somerset and Union County Teachers and ESPs of the Year. The Somerset County Education Association, a long-time partner of the Patriots, has once again teamed up to honor the Somerset County educators.

“Our Teacher Appreciation Nights are very special parts of our season. We know how hard teachers work all year and we want to make sure they know that the community appreciates all that they do for our kids,” said Somerset Patriots President/General Manager Patrick McVerry.” These nights are designed as a special thank you to all teachers and ESPs and to showcase those that received the recognition as their schools’ very best this year.”

The Patriots are providing tickets to the teachers and the ESPs, their guests and their classes to come out to the ballpark for these special nights.

The Patriots are encouraging all teachers and ESPs to come out to the game to support their peers. All teachers and ESPs that show their school ID badge at the Patriots Ticket Office on game day will receive a free Upper Box ticket to the Teacher Appreciation Night for their county.

The mission of the NJEA is to advance and protect the rights, benefits, and interests of members, and promote a quality system of public education for all students.
