Shade Tree Commission Holds Annual Tree Sale

tree cityThe Franklin Township Shade Tree Commission is holding its seventh annual shade tree sale through Feb. 7

The trees being offered this year are Red Maple and Zelcova for shade, and the ornamentals, Sweet Bay Magnolia and Redbud.

Prices are $60 for one, $100 for two and $135 for three.

The trees measure 6- to 8-feet tall; there are only 20 of each kind, according to the shade tree commission’s Web site.

Buyers will receive instructions on planting the trees when they are picked up.

Orders are first-come, first-served. Checks will be returned to those who could not get a tree because they sold out.

Also:

  • All sales are final-no refunds and no guarantees are made or implied;
  • The purchaser or designee must pick up the trees on the given date (trees will fit in a most car);
  • The Shade Tree Commission will not plant your tree.
