Revolution Power Past Patriots 5-1

72414gameBridgewater, NJ – The York Revolution (8-6, 49-35) defeated the Somerset Patriots (8-7, 54-30) 5-1 Thursday evening in the series opener from TD Bank Ballpark.

 

In the top of the third inning right fielder Justin Greene spanked a two run home run (5) to give York a 2-0 advantage.

 

Third baseman Travis Garcia launched a two run home run (11) in the top of the fourth inning to increase York’s lead to 4-0.

 

First baseman Chad Tracy slugged a solo home run (12) in the top of the sixth inning as the Revolution added to its lead making the score 5-0.

 

The Patriots scored in the home half of the seventh inning as right fielder Luis Montanez socked a RBI double cutting the deficit to 5-1.

 

Logan Williamson (3-3) earned the win hurling six innings allowing one run on three hits. Matt Maloney (5-5) endured the loss tossing six innings while allowing five runs on five hits.
