Police Log: Feb. 17, 2014

Police shieldMaria Delvillar of Perth Amboy was cited for careless driving after the bus she was driving struck a car driven by Ashley Robinson of Somerset. Robinson said she was stopped at Layne Road and Leupp Lane when Delvillar’s bus turned left onto Layne and struck her car.

Lauren Lopez of Garwood was driving down Cottontail Lane when, police said, she took her eyes off the road to change channels on her car radio and crashed into the rear of a tractor-trailer driven by Jean Michel of Allston, Mass.

Cars driven by Robert Stillman and Richard Brameyer, both of Franklin Park, collided on Route 27 when Stillman attempted to change lanes and struck Brameyer’s car.

Rashawn Woods of Marlton was cited for careless driving after his car rear-ended a car driven on Landing Lane by Christoph Dimuro of Chester. Woods said his car slid on the ice.

Rebecca Hurtado of Somerset was cited for improper passing after the car she was driving collided with one on Belmont Drive driven by Michael Mickens of Titusville. Mickens said he was turning into a driveway when Hurtado’s car passed his and hit it.

Cars driven  by Magda Gagliardi of Monmouth Junction and Edward Brefo of Manville collided at Blackwells Mills  and Van Cleef roads. Police said Gagliardi was creeping into the intersection, trying to see traffic around a large mound of snow, when her car  was struck by Brefo’s.
