Municipal Alliance Poster Contest Award Winners Commended By Council

Winners of the 2016 Municipal Alliance poster contest were honored Dec. 13 by the Township Council.

The 2016 winners of an annual poster contest for the township’s school children were celebrated at the Dec. 13 Township Council meeting.

The contest is sponsored by the township Municipal Alliance for the Prevention of Substance Abuse. This year’s theme was “We Can Be Above The Influence And Still be Influenced.”

“Students did a great job in translating their thoughts about topics into visual displays,” said Bruce Medley, the program coordinator for the Franklin Youth Initiative.

Students who participated received gift bags, t-shirts and certificates. Those who won in each category also received commendations and gift cards.

“We just do appreciate all your hard work, and we look forward to working with you again next year,” said Valerie Northey, a Municipal Alliance member.
