Life Story: Vivian Lanfrit, 92; Son Is Township Resident

Vivian Lanfrit passed away on Saturday September 15, 2018 at the Parker Home in Piscataway. She was 92 years old.

Mrs. Lanfrit was born in Casiacco, Italy and came to the United States in 1948 settling in the Bronx. She moved to New Brunswick where her husband Daniel built their home in 1956.

She was a seamstress with Dean Blouse Company in New Brunswick until her retirement. She was a communicant of St. Mary of Mount virgin Church in New Brunswick and a member of the St. Mary’s Golden Age Club . She will be remembered for her delicious holiday meals where everyone was welcome and her beautiful sewing, knitting and crocheting projects.

She was pre deceased by her husband, Daniel Lanfrit in 2000. She is survived by a son Peter Lanfrit (Judith) of Somerset, two daughters, Diane DeMeo (Joseph) of Surf City, and Lorraine Prindaville (Timothy) of Edison and five grandchildren Christine Fersch (Brian), Daniel Lanfrit, David Brockman (Jerian), Neil Prindaville (Nicole) and Katie Seelinger (John). She is also survived by six great grandchildren, Aylin Fersch, Colin Brockman, Gracyn Brockman, Eleri Fersch, Calleigh Prindaville and Ryan Seelinger, her sister and loving niece in Italy, Bice Chittaro and Marta Boel and also her dearest and caring friends Alvina and Luigino Indri.

Services will begin at 9:15 AM on Wednesday September 19, 2018 at the Gleason Funeral Home 1360 Hamilton Street in Somerset followed by a 10 AM funeral mass at St. Mary of Mount Virgin Church in New Brunswick. Committal services will follow at St. Peter’s Mausoleum. Visiting will be from 4-8 PM on Tuesday at the Gleason Funeral Home. Contributions in her memory may be made to the Francis E.
