Life Story: Theresa Augustine, 89; Daughter Is Somerset Resident

Theresa Augustine, 89, passed away on June 11 at Cranford Health and Extended Care in Cranford.

Mrs. Augustine was born April 20, 1930 in Glen Lyon, Pennsylvania to the late Stanley and Banchae (Rushkowski) Doliva. She was a longtime resident of Carteret before recently relocating to Cranford.

Theresa loved crocheting, reading and playing bingo. She also loved to travel and was an avid collector, while on vacation. Above all, Theresa adored spending time with her family.

Mrs. Augustine was predeceased by her husband in 2010, Edward Augustine; her daughter, Carol Ann; her sisters, Marcie Szmal, and Theodosia Augustine.

She is survived by her daughter, Mary Bellavia and her husband Dino of Somerset; her son, Paul Augustine and his wife Diane of Lancaster County, PA; her grandson, Johnathan DeSteno and his wife Susan and her three great grandchildren, Hayden, Anthony and Harper.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 13th from 3:00 to 8:00 PM at Gleason Funeral Home, 1360 Hamilton Street, Somerset.

A mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:30 A.M. on Friday, June 14, 2019 at St. Matthias Church in Somerset, NJ. Burial will follow at St. Gertrude Cemetery in Colonia, NJ.
