First Responder 9-11 Victims Remembered At St. Matthias Mass
First responders who were killed in the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks in New York City were remembered at a mass at St. Matthias Church.
Members of township fire departments, EMS units and their family and friends gathered for the annual mass, during which the names of all first responders who were killed were read.
Following the mass, the focus shifted to the outside of the church, at the memorial to John M. Collins, a New York City firefighter, graduate of the St. Matthias School, who was killed. The firefighter’s prayer was read and a wreath was laid at the memorial.
Following are live-streamed videos from the event.

We also took a few minutes to pay our respects at the township 9/11 Memorial, outside the library on DeMott Lane:
Honoring Franklin Township sons and daughters who were killed in the 9-11 attacks.
