Invasive Species Workshop, dfree Debt Reduction Conference and ‘Appraise-a-Thon” Coming

A workshop on invasive plants species is the subject of a workshop set for 7-8:30 p.m. Oct. 30 at the township library on DeMott Lane. The workshop will look at some invasive species that residents can find in their backyards. Registration is requested and can be done at the library’s Web site.

The second annual dfree Conference will be held Oct. 31 to Nov. 2 at the First Baptist Church of Lincoln Gardens, Somerset. The three-day conference designed to help people out of debt will feature speakers, seminars and a trade show. An antique and collectible “appraise-a-thon” will be held from 1:30-3:30 p.m. Nov. 3 at the township library on DeMott Lane. Alan Snyder of A.G. Snyder & Associates in Watching will appraise up to two items. Appraisals will be done on a first-come, first-served basis as time permits. Weapons will not be appraised. Registration is requested and can be done at the library’s Web site.
