Bond Ordinance Earmarking $2.5M For Road Work Introduced By Township Council

Update: The bond ordinance was approved at the May 26 council meeting.

Thirty nine township streets would be repaved this year under a $2.5 million bond ordinance introduced at the May 12 Township Council meeting.

Streets included in the program are: Berkley Place, Berry Street, Canal, Camner, Center Street, Chester Street, Clarke Street, DeKalb Street, Drake Street, Dunham Street, Ellen Street, First Street, Foxwood Drive, Fuller Street, Green Street, Gurley Street, High Street, Highland, Howard Avenue, Jefferson Street, JFK, Jurocko Avenue, Lakeside, Lenox Place, Livingston, London Place, Main Street, Millstone Road, Norma Avenue, Pearl, Pierce, Stratford Drive, Sumner, Varga, Voorhees Avenue, Welsh’s Lane, William Street, Wilson, and Wortman.

The work will include milling, excavation and repaving, according to the ordinance.

The public hearing and final vote is scheduled for the council’s May 26 meeting.
