Township resident Kenneth Hitchner, manager of public relations and social media at Creative Marketing Alliance (CMA), a full-service marketing firm located in Princeton Junction, was named Crew Star for the fourth quarter.

The Crew Star award recognizes a team member each quarter for his or her dedication to the company’s core values, instilling these positive principals to the team, while also enhancing the company’s culture.

“Ken is passionate about all of CMA’s clients. A direct result of his passion is that the public relations team has created a new company record in terms of media placements, exceeding last year’s numbers by 125 percent, placing one of CMA’s clients in the news every 17 hours since last year,” said Erin Klebaur, director of marketing services who presented the honor. “Ken ensures he puts in any time (including late nights and weekends) to ensure everything he does for clients and CMA is achieved with great success.”

At CMA, which was named 2016 Outstanding Small Business of the Year by the MIDJersey Chamber of Commerce, Hitchner manages a team of public relations/social professionals and devises strategic communications plans that protect and promote brands by building relationships. He also leads print and digital magazines, such as IMARK NOW (IMARK Group) and Today’s Lighting Distributor (National Association of Independent Lighting Distributors) in the electrical and lighting industry and The Plumbing Advocate (Equity Plumbing).

Hitchner earned his bachelors in journalism from Temple University and MBA from Rutgers Business School in addition to a certificate in social media.

With this award, Hitchner will receive a reserved parking spot in the employee lot, lunch with CMA’s executive team, a gift certificate to a local restaurant and a prominently displayed headshot in the CMA lobby with past Crew Star winners.
