Park Commission Offers Swim, Tennis Lessons

Tennis lessons at the Colonial Park Tennis Center will begin on July 10.

Lessons at the center, located on Colonial Drive in East Millstone, are for Beginner, Beginner/Advanced Beginner, and Intermediate/Advanced and run from 9-10:30 a.m.

Registration for the one-week classes will only be accepted at the Green Knoll Tennis Center on Garretson Road in Bridgewater. The fee is $70. Registration forms are available at either center, or by calling (908) 722-1200.

Somerset County Park Commission’s Warrenbrook Pool, located on Warrenville Road in Warren Township, is the county’s only public outdoor swimming facility. Public use of the pool is available by both seasonal passes and daily admissions. The facility will open for the season at noon June 30 and close on Sept. 4.

A variety of swim lessons are offered for swimmers of all ability level including Toddlers, Beginner I, Beginner II, Advanced Beginner, and Intermediate. All classes run for two-week sessions, Monday through Friday, June 26 to July 7; July 10 to July 21; and July 24 to August 4. Classes run for forty minutes either from 10:15 A.M. to10:55 A.M. or from 11:00 A.M to11:40 A.M. The fee for each class is $70 and class size is limited.

Mail-in registration for Somerset County residents only is now available for swim lessons and seasonal and county ID passes. Registration for out-of-county residents begins on Saturday, June 17, 2017 as space permits. For additional information call 908 754-8404.
