Bridgewater, NJ- The York Revolution defeated the Somerset Patriots 3-1 at TD Bank Ballpark on Thursday night.
The Revolution plated two runs in the top of the fifth inning on a double by Justin Greene.
York added a run in the top of the sixth on a double play that made the score 3-0.
The Patriots lone run came in the bottom of the sixth when Corey Smith’s RBI double drove home Aharon Eggleston for the 3-1 final.
Jorge Martinez (2-0) picked up the win, allowing a run on five hits in 5.2 innings pitched. Gary Moran (2-3) suffered the loss, allowing three runs on seven hits in eight innings pitched. Rommie Lewis earned his 12 save of the season with a scoreless ninth inning pitched.
