Bridgewater, NJ – The Somerset Patriots and the newly formed High Point Rockers clocked in a nine-inning game at under two hours on Tuesday, April 30th. Regardless of record status or not, the game, which was completed in 1 hour and 57 minutes, is a very rare feat in baseball and the direction the sport is trending towards.

The Franklin High School varsity tennis team swept all its matches April 30, defeating North Plainfield 5-0. In singles play, Paul Hellstern defeated Hammad Ahmad 6-0 and 6-1; Tom Thigpen defeated Jeiner Betancourt, 6-3 and 6-1; John Gruiguis defeated Pateek Singh, 6-3 and 6-4.
