Township police received a 911 call of a brush fire at Middlebush Park, DeMott Lane, at a bout 1:58 p.m. April 23, according to Police Department spokesman Sgt. Philip Rizzo. The township police department is one of 10 Somerset County departments to receive a $5,000 grant to aid in its participation in the “U Drive. U Text. U Pay” crackdown on distracted driving.
