The Franklin Reporter & Advocate Eight Villages, One Community
The “Week of the People” celebration, sponsored by the Somerset Community Action Program, wrapped up Aug. 9 at John’s Plaza with a mini music festival.
The day featured local rappers and singers, said organizer Percy Sanders.
Vendors were also on hand selling food and clothing.
The week began on Aug. 3 with a cookout at Naaman Williams Park, then continued on Aug. 7 with a “Diversity Leadership Breakfast” at the Senior/Community Center.
The organization also collected food for the Franklin Township Food Bank at each event.
