Update: Police have identified the injured man as Patrick McDonald, 71, of New Brunswick. McDonald suffered a non-life-threatening head injury, and is in stable condition at a local hospital, police said. The car’s driver, Unab Javed, was cited for careless driving, police said.

The Stein Mart department store in Franklin Park will close in mid-October, a company spokeswoman said July 26. The store, located in Franklin Towne Center on Route 27, is one of six Stein Marts slated for closure this year, said spokeswoman Linda Tassef.
