Police Log: July 18 – 22, 2017

July 18

  • Antonio Goes of Linden was cited for careless driving after the truck he was driving struck three other vehicles on Easton Avenue. Police said Gomes said he thought something broke on the undercarriage of his truck, causing him to have trouble stopping His truck rear-ended a stopped car driven by Francisco Camacho of Somerset, propelling the car off the road. Gomes’ truck then rear-ended a stopped car driven by Luqi Li of Nebraska, then entered oncoming traffic and struck a truck driven by Luis Palacios of Jersey City.
  • Clint Wallace of Belle Mead was cited for careless driving after his car rear-ended one on Canal Road, driven by Joseph Bassolino of Princeton. Bassolino said he’d stopped for traffic on the one-lane bridge.

July 19

  • Ravinder Patlola of Whitehouse Station was cited for careless driving and John Tanagho of Sayreville was cited for not producing driving credentials after the two were involved in a collision on Claremont Road. Patlola said that he was going to make a right turn from Claremont to South Middlebush Road when he saw the bridge was out, so he decided to make a left turn. Tanagho’s car was making a left turn at the time, and the two collided.
  • Otilia Paredes-Rojas of Somerset was cited for careless driving after police said her car turned from Booker to Frank streets and collided with a car driven by Shelley Roberts of Somerset.
  • A car driven by Emily Burd of Newton rear-ended one on Easton Avenue, driven by Wildor V. Arrascue-Vera of North Brunswick.
