Hundreds of children and adults in the township enjoyed pre-Halloween festivities Oct. 29 at two different events.
The newest of the two was the Trunk or Treat presented by the Hamilton Street Business District, Week of the People organization and the township in the John’s Plaza parking lot on Hamilton Street.
Dozens of decorated cars were available for the children to trick or treat. There were also a number of games and food vendors.
Organizers are looking to make the trunk or treat an annual event.

Children of various ages attended with their families, decorating pumpkins, attempting boo bowling, dressing up in their costumes, competing in musical chairs and experiencing a wild amount of festival fall.
The pumpkin patch marks the celebration of fall and Halloween. To some, the Pumpkin Patch is a reminder of the lovely recreational work of Franklin.
Avery, 6, said, “There’s so much going on, I can’t wait.” Eager children raced through the park, grabbing apple cider, provided by the Franklin Township Youth Council who hosted this event.
