Life Story: Loren DeAngelis, 60; Classic Car Enthusiast

Mr. Loren DeAngelis passed away on Tuesday at his home in Somerset. He was 60 years old.

Mr. DeAngelis was born in New Brunswick and lived in Edison, Florida and Piscataway before moving to Somerset where he lived for many years. He was also a part-time resident of Ortley Beach.

He graduated from St. Joseph High School Class of 1977 and furthered his education at the New Jersey City University where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree. He worked for many years in the HVAC and Air Balancing Industry before opening his own business, TAB Solutions, LLC, which he operated for over 10 years.

Loren was a classic movie and history buff. He enjoyed camping and spending time on his boat with friends and family. Loren restored his 1969 Mustang Mach I and loved driving it and attending and entering Classic Car shows.

He was pre-deceased by his parents, L. Mario and Anna DeAngelis.

Loren is survived by his wife of 28 years, Sharon; their son Daniel Jacob Schmitt DeAngelis, and their dog Mimi. He is also survived by his siblings Mario DeAngelis and his wife Margaret of Ringoes, and Gail DeAngelis of Florida.

Friends and family may visit from 1-4 PM on Saturday April 20, 2019 at the Gleason Funeral Home, 1360 Hamilton Street in Somerset. A brief funeral service will begin at 3:30 PM. Please consider a contribution in Mr. DeAngelis’ name to a charity of your choice.
