Bernadette E. McGrath (nee Rock) of Somerset passed away peacefully at home on July 7.
Born in 1932 in Brooklyn, New York, she was a loving mother and talented artist.
She was predeceased by her sons, Robert K. McGrath and Matthew McGrath.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Robert; daughter, Elaine McGrath and her partner Jaymee Boehmer of Hillsborough; son, Gerard McGrath and wife Kathleen of Southport, NC; daughter, Mary Flannelly and husband, Douglas of Middlesex, and daughter, Noreen Kobialka and husband Robert of Red Bank, and nine grandchildren, Michael, Sara, Kristy, Megan, Ryan, Cassey, Arthur, RJ and Kate.
Viewing will be at the Gleason Funeral Home, 1360 Hamilton Street, Somerset on Wednesday, July 10th from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, July 11th at 10:30 AM at St. Matthias Church, 168 JFK Boulevard, Somerset.
In lieu of flowers please make donations in her memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, the Ronald McDonald House, or the Alzheimer’s Asssociation.
