Anna Piwtoratsky, 91, passed away on Feb. 20 at her home in Somerset surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. Piwtoratsky was born June 25, 1925 in Kiev, Ukraine to the late Octap and Vekla Kozlenko. In 1951, Anna immigrated to America and settled in New York City with her husband Wasil and five children; she was truly proud to be an American. She relocated to Somerset.
Anna was employed at Ortho Pharmaceutical until her retirement. She was a long standing parishioner at St. Andrews Memorial Church in South Bound Brook. Anna loved crocheting and needle point but truly treasured spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Mrs. Piwtoratsky was predeceased by her loving husband Wasil in 1976, her son, Anatoly; her sisters, Yevdokia and Maria Kozlenko and her grandson, David.
She is survived by her sons, Valentin and his wife Janice, Stanley and his wife Sandra, Peter and his wife Miriam and William and his wife Mai; her daughter, Helena Facchini and her husband Ron, Ludmila Forrest and her husband Kevin and Ala Miller and her husband Ronald; her grandchildren, Anna, Alexandra, Vanessa, Scott, Andrea, Kevin, Lisa, Jennifer, Michael, Laura and Jenna; and seven great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Gleason Funeral Home, 1360 Hamilton St., from 6-9 p.m. Feb. 23.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Feb. 24 at St. Andrew Memorial Church. Burial will follow at St. Andrew Cemetery in South Bound Brook.
