“Kultar’s Mime,” a play that explores the horrors of two pogroms in world history, is set to be presented from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Oct. 12 at Rutgers University’s Cook Student sCenter, 59 Biel Rd. in New Brunswick.
The play is being produced by the Bridgewater-based Sikh Research Institute.
The play “is an immersive theater experience that uses the 1903 Kishinev Pogrom that targeted Jews as a point of departure
to tell the stories of Sikh children in 1984 Delhi Massacre,” according to a press release. “Blending poetry, art and music, it tells a story of human suffering and courage, reminding us that in the end all innocent victims are the same, regardless how they worship and what tongues they speak.”
