Hundreds Walk And Bike To Support Franklin Food Bank In Annual Tour De Franklin

Hundreds of walkers and cyclists took off from various points in the township April 30 to help raise money for the Franklin Food Bank.

They participated in the 28th annual Tour de Franklin, the food bank’s premiere fundraising event.

Food bank executive director Frank Hasner estimated that 800 people participated in all of the events, which included bike tours of 10, 25, 40 and 62 miles, a 1- to 5-mile walk or ride, and a 5-mile and 10-mile ride along the Delaware & Raritan Canal.

Hasner said he hoped to raise $80,000.

The FR&A was live-streaming during the course of the tour.
