July 4 Celebrated With Music, Food, Fireworks

The township’s annual Independence Day celebration drew hundreds of people attracted by the excellent weather, music, food and, of course, fireworks.

The July 3 event kicked off at 6 p.m. with music provided by Little Jimmy and the Starlites, who were followed by the cast of the Villagers’ teen production of “Heathers.”

Next on the stage was the Community Fellowship Mass Choir. Recent Franklin High School graduate Khailah Johnson then sand the National Anthem, which was followed immediately by the fireworks.

The Franklin Reporter & Advocate live streamed during the celebration. Following are some of those streams.
