More than $5,000 in jewelry and electronics was stolen Oct. 3 from a Gallop lane home, police said. Police said the victim reported the burglary took place between 6:30 a.m. and 2:10 p.m.

Sept. 29 Dominique Yates of New Brunswick was cited for careless driving after her car rear-ended one on Easton Avenue driven by Rebekah Livengood of Edison. Livengood said she was slowing for traffic when her car was hit.

Sept. 25 A McGuffy Road resident reported that his work laptop had been stolen from his unlocked car. The laptop was valued at $300.

An 18-year-old township resident has been arrested for the Sept. 27 shooting of a man on Hamilton Street, police said. Lorenzo Hill of Stothoff Street was arrested on Sept. 29, police said. Hill has been charged with 2nd Degree Aggravated Assault, 2nd Degree Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose, and 2nd Degree Unlawful Possession of a Handgun.

Sept. 18 A MacBook Air laptop worth $1,000 and $40 in cash was stolen from a car owned by a Jonathan Place resident. The owner said he thought the car was unlocked.

A 29-year-old township woman escaped with non-life threatening injuries Sept. 23 after she was hit by two different autos on Route 27. Police said Kernita A. Caines was crossing Rt. 27 just north of Reler Lane when she was hit by a 2008 Acura MDX driven by Sam John, 33, of North Brunswick.
