Dr. Joseph D’Angiolillo was named “Chiropractor of the Year” by the Association of New Jersey Chiropractors at its annual Fall Summit in New Brunswick. D’Angiollilo, who has an office on Clyde Road, has been a chiropractor since 1984. He received the award the weekend of Oct. 31.

The Willow Creek Rehab and Care center on Easton Avenue held its inaugural vendor fair fundraiser on Nov. 5. Proceeds from the event are earmarked for the Alzheimer’s Association, in recognition of National Alzheimer’s Month.

More than 65 pounds of candy will be sent to U.S. troops serving overseas as a result of the recent candy buy-back at Advanced Dental Arts on Easton Avenue. Held on Nov. 3 and 4, this is the fourth year Dr. Joseph Haddad and his staff have held the event.

Troops serving overseas will once again be the beneficiaries of candy collected during the annual Halloween Candy Buyback at Advanced Dental Arts, 738 Easton Ave. The buyback will be held from 3-6 p.m. on Nov. 3 and 4.

Health screenings, healthy food preparation tips and a blood drive were some of the highlights Oct.1 at the “Workplace Health & Wellness Expo” held at Anew Wellness on Davidson Avenue. The event, which kicked off “Healthier Somerset Month,” was attended by several hundred people during the course of the day.

The new North American headquarters of a multi-national flavors and extracts company was showcased Sept. 29 with food samplings and tours. Activ International, a leader in natural and organic flavors for the food industry, will consolidate its current locations in Middlesex into one 40,000-square-foot facility on Worlds Fair Drive.
