Somerset resident Milton Anderson has been named chief human resources officer at Barnabas Health of West Orange.
In his new position, Anderson will be responsible for corporate human resources and will provide oversight of all Barnabas Health hospital and affiliate human resources departments, according to a release about the appointment.

Ostrowsky, president and chief executive officer of Barnabas Health, said in the release. “His wealth of knowledge including more than 20 years of international and domestic experience in human resources will serve us well as we continue to provide our 21,000 employees with a rich environment in which to work, collaborate and grow.”
Prior to his new position, Anderson was chief human resources officer at UMass Memorial Health Care System, Inc., in Worcester, Mass.From 2008 to 2011, he served as chief human resources officer at Montefiore Medical Center in New York.
As a human resources executive, Anderson has worked in both hospitals and diverse industries. Prior to his positions at UMass and Montefiore, he held leadership positions in human resources at several organizations, including: The Walt Disney Company, as Vice President of Corporate Human Resources for its subsidiary, ESPN, where he was responsible for all aspects of ESPN’s international and domestic HR generalist and employee relations activity; and Marriott International, Inc.
