Mr. Fred Panson passed away Saturday September 17th, 2016 in Somerset. He was 92 years old.
Born in Manhattan, NY to Peter and Esther Panson, Fred grew up in Brooklyn and had been a resident of Franklin Township for over 50 years. Mr. Panson served his country faithfully in the Marine Corps during WW II, and received the Purple Heart after being wounded in action in Guam. After the war, he went to work in the garment industry in New York, where he worked for over 50 years, retiring at the age of 81. A devoted and loving husband, father, and grandfather, Fred cherished time spent with family. An avid sports fan, Mr. Panson loved attending his grandchildren’s events.
Mr. Panson is survived by his wife of 52 years, Sonya Panson; by his children: Ellen Gaynor, Edward Lowenhar and his wife Sandra, Valerie Miliotis and her husband Ares, and Barry and Bonnie Panson; by his 8 grandchildren; and by his sister, Leatrice Gallob.
