Brent Scott of Land O Lakes, Fl. was cited Oct. 18 for careless driving, using a cell phone while driving and failure to stop at a stop sign after he was involved in a collision Atrium Drive and Davidson Avenue. Scott said he was driving on Atrium while checking his phone. He told police his car went through the stop sign at the corner, jumped the curb and struck two parked cars – owned by Herr Foods of Notingham, Pa. and James Popchuk of Doylestown, Pa. – which were in the lot on Davidson.

Christian Chiejina of Somerset was cited Oct. 18 for failure to stop at a red light after his car was involved in an accident at Route 27 and South Middlebush Road with one driven by Seth Rehfuss, also of Somerset. Chiejina told police that the light was yellow turning to red when he decided to go through it. Rehfuss said he had a green light when his car was hit.

Cintia Pujol-Rojo of New Brunswick was backing her car out of a space in an Elizabeth Avenue lot at the same time Alice Jankowski of Manville was backing out of a space opposite hers Oct. 18. The two cars backed into each other.

A car driven by Geiner Jimenez of Hillsborough rear-ended one driven on South Middlebush Road by Peter Madden of Princeton on Oct. 18. Jimenez said traffic was stop-and-go.

Cars driven by Aruna Mettler of Somerset and Linda Rosenthal of Basking Ridge collided Oct. 18 at Weston and Mettlers roads. Mettler told police that she stopped at the stop sign on Mettlers, then entered the intersection but did not see Rosenthal’s car approaching on Weston.

Joseph Messer of Somerset was cited Oct. 19 for careless driving and driving an uninsured vehicle after his car backed into a parked car owned by Pawel Ptak of Somerset.

Anshuman Misra of Jersey City told police Oct. 20 that he was driving his car on Davidson Avenue when a deer ran into his car.
